An aero-tech company that started in media

We came into aircraft liveries through the cabin, not through the paint shop. That is still visible in how we work: we think about what a project is supposed to achieve before we think about how it is applied.

In short

LXM AERO GmbH is a dynamic aero-tech company based in Vienna. We work on aircraft livery, cabin maintenance, inflight connectivity and the digital side of the cabin, for airlines, lessors and MROs.

Aviation documentation — EASA minor changes and the rest — runs through strategic Part 21J design organisation and Part 21G production organisation partners, or directly under an airline’s own Part 145 authority where that fits better. The point is that you do not have to assemble that chain yourself.

How it started

From a VR campaign to a fifty-aircraft rebrand

STAGE 01

Brands in the cabin

Cabin advertising for Hertz, Mercedes-Benz and Deutsche Telekom, on aircraft flying for Eurowings and Wizz Air. Working in a live cabin teaches you what an airline will and will not accept.

Media and advertising
STAGE 02

The first inflight VR campaign

For SunExpress we built what was, as far as we know, the world’s first inflight VR campaign: VR goggles showing a dedicated LEGO content channel on ten aircraft, plus tray table branding, samples, promotions at Antalya Airport, social campaigns and exterior branding on an A320.

Ten aircraft, one campaign
STAGE 03

The exterior became the product

That campaign was our entry point into B2B aircraft liveries. Once you have put a brand on the outside of an aircraft and satisfied an engineering department, the next question is always whether you can do it at scale.

From campaign to capability
STAGE 04

Fleets, and everything around them

Today that means fifty-aircraft rebrands, livery at a manufacturer’s assembly line, cabin work inside C-checks, riblet surfaces that save fuel, and paint where paint is the right answer.

How we think

We care for your fleet as if it was ours

That sentence is easy to write. What it means in practice is a handful of habits, and those are checkable.

One chain, one contact
Design, production, hangar and logistics are coordinated by us, not handed back to your engineering department.
Know-how transfer
We see more aircraft from more operators than most engineering departments do, and we pass that on — also when it is not our order.
No grey areas
Work in third-party hangars is fully insured, and the insurance position is clarified before the team travels.
Your language
Our project engineers come from multicultural backgrounds and speak English, German, French and Arabic, which matters when engineering, procurement and the hangar sit in three countries.
